Job Purpose

The  Learning Infrastructure Specialist/Analyst  is responsible for end-to-end client and learner experiences when technology is a key component of a learning solution.

Job Responsibility

The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key deliverables:

  • Partners with business stakeholders to gather and interpret client business requirements. Consults on the best use of technology within the learning space, based on specific client business needs and practices, ensuring strategic adoption and effective use of learning technologies.
  • Partners with clients to negotiate project charters, scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budgets, and timing to ensure project success.
  • Tracks and reports on project milestones. Manages project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved. Determines if external vendors will be required to complete the project deliverables, and may assist in managing technology aspects of vendor engagements.
  • Administers and maintains Learning Management Systems. Trains, coaches, and supports associates on effective use of learning technologies. Researches and resolves issues across learning management system, SCORM/AICC content packages and vendor connections where appropriate.
  • Ensures learning event readiness. Seeks and supports new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered.
  • Requires BA/BS in Education, Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 3 years of project management experience, learning management systems, and experience as a Training/Learning Consultant, Instructional Designer, or eLearning Designer; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Areas of Work

Consultation and fulfillment for Workday Learning programs (complex programs/assignments outside Enterprise Required Learning):

Program build and testing w/ Campaign/Audience assignments and updates (individual or EIB, multi-language as required) – unrelated to Enterprise Required Learning but some programs may support auditing/external governing body adherence

Create and assign programs to all associates within an area or multiple areas

Guidance on Workday Enablement Learning Program (WELP) & elevated access provisioning fulfillment Consulting/guidance on Workday learning course setup, including internal/external content sources (Articulate Rise, Brainshark, Percipio, etc.) Consultation/Coaching

Guidance on Workday learning capabilities & processes

Course security issues – unable to access, work with course owner

Guidance on updating course data fields

Ensuring leadership approvals and communication plans are documented by requestor for cross-org required assignments (non-enterprise steering  committee -assigned)

Ensuring standards and accessibility requirements met for course publishing

Troubleshooting class offering issues/closeouts

Workday Extended Enterprise:

External learner account provisioning (ELLD COE to define processes, tasks, SLAs)

External learner assignments, partnering with internal LOB stakeholders

External learner support

Reporting as needed (self service will be preferred)

Qualification

Minimum education: BBA, MBA.L&D

Specialized training, certifications, and/or other special requirements:

Preferred education:

MBA

Experience

Minimum experience 10 Years

Preferred experience 12 Years with 3 years in L&D Project management.

  • Ability to identify the best/appropriate tools to accomplish effective learning results
  • Strong working knowledge of SCORM package functionality with authoring tools/LMS
  • Troubleshooting skills/root cause analysis (process- and technology-based)
  • Strong focus on end user/learner experience

Admin Skills:

  • Awareness of and adherence to policies and Standards/Governance requirements (enterprise, HR, and L&D COE)
  • Ability to gather skills requirements and curate content aligned to business needs
  • Knowledge of Workday processes and report structures
