Job Purpose

This role is accountable and responsible for driving Innovation interventions and enabling the innovation frameworks across CGS India. This role will be responsible for driving Culture of Innovaiton, lead external collaboration portfolio, create and support partnerships, support continously innovating the innovation process and delivering on business impact enabled by innovation and leading to enhancing Innovation as a brand in external world.

Job Responsibility

  • Build the external collaboration pillar of Culture of innovation by creating and energising external collaborations, effective engagement from established collaboraitons, position CGS as an active player in external Innovation ecosystem, build Carelon Innovation brand and support building extended innovation capabilities.
  • Build collaboration eco-system for CGS, enabling external collaborations with industry, academia, start-ups, Government bodies, Research & Innovation bodies, Science & Innovation centres, including Bi-Lateral trade bodies, country diplomats for a two-way innovation programs, global collaboration programs, and cross-border learning.
  • Define, plan & execute Technology & Innovation leadership forums, including company participation in relevant national technology and innovation events, curate local and global Innovation leaders talks, as part of building culture of innovation, brand and awareness.
  • Define & Institionalize external collaboration innovation framework – defining the underlying processes, structures, gaurdrails, tools and capability building thru external engagements and bring in global learnings.
  • Identify business opportunities for fit for purpose application of innovation from external collaborations and collaborate with business to assit them accompplish their innovation outcomes.
  • Concieve local and global innovation challenges, engaging academia, university students, open innovators, industry partners and if possible bi-lateral bodies to access global minds engaged in Healthcare innovations.
  • Providing support to internal innovation teams to develops sound solutions through external Innovation ecosystem competencies, capturing technical / Healthcare Industry issues and challenges faced by CGS business.
  • Create opportunities with startups and other innovation partners to build high impact social program furhtering CGS CSR aspiration.
     

Qualification

Preferred education: BE/B.Tech/B.SC/B.COM/BA/LLB/CA

Experience

  • Minimum experience: 20+Years of Experience
  • Preferred experience:
  • Hands on experience in driving and delivering external innovation programs engaging and collaborating with Industry, Industry bodies, academia, Science & Technology centers, Research Institutions, Government and Diplomats to create opportunities for business impact.
  • Experience of curating and managing large multi-million, multi-year innovation programs with single or multiple stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experence in dealing with external innovation partners and demonstrated success in developing partnership with global and local academia, industry bodies.
  • Experienced in developing innovation roadmap and working with industry partners to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Desirable experience in developing and delivery social impact innovation program.
  • Desirable - Multi-sector business, corporate and innovation experience.   

Knowledge and Competencies

Working knowledge of Innovation methdology and framework.

Good leadership skills and experience in managing multiple stakeholder.

Local and global outreach. Ability to build and maintain business relationships.
